Funding Your Training

Flexible payment options and funding solutions to make your celebrant training accessible.

Ways to Fund Your Training

Training as a celebrant is a real investment, and for most people it is not a small one. It is also, for most people, a career change rather than a hobby — which means the question of how to pay for it deserves a straight answer rather than an enquiry form.

Below is every route we know of: what each one covers, who it applies to, and what it does not do. If none of them fits your circumstances, tell us anyway. We would far rather have the conversation than lose you to a number on a page.

Interest-Free Monthly Payment Plans

Every qualification we offer can be paid monthly instead of in one sum. There is no interest, no surcharge and no administration fee — the total you pay under a plan is exactly the published course fee and nothing more.

See the detailed pricing table below for all course fees and monthly payment options.

Flexible Terms

The Level 4 and the Dual Pathway carry the most work, so you can choose either term on those two. The total cost is identical either way.

One thing to weigh before you choose. On a payment plan your course is released to you in stages as your payments are made, and the final stage arrives when your last payment clears — so the term you pick also sets the earliest you can finish. A six-month plan means you have everything within six months. A twelve-month plan spreads the cost further, but your course will take the full twelve.

Planning Your Timeline

If you need to be qualified by a particular date — a resettlement window, a job offer, a season you want to be working in — tell us at the outset and we will make sure you choose the term that gets you there. Paying in full removes the staging altogether.

How Payments Work

Your first payment is taken when you book and secures your place. The remaining payments are collected automatically by card through Stripe on the same date each month, and you receive an email reminder before each one. You can settle the balance in full at any time, without penalty.

How a Plan is Arranged

Payment plans are offered by application, and every application is considered individually. Once we receive yours, we will arrange a short one-to-one conversation to agree the right plan, set your payment dates and answer your questions. There is no credit check and no algorithm — it is a conversation with the person who will be teaching you.

If you ever anticipate difficulty meeting a payment, contact us before the date rather than after. We will always look to agree a reasonable arrangement.

What to Know Before You Choose a Plan

We would rather you knew these things now than discovered them later.

Materials are released in stages

Your course content is issued in line with the payments received, and the final stage is sent when your last payment clears. You cannot complete the course ahead of your plan — if you want to finish sooner, choose the shorter term or pay in full.

Your certificate follows your final payment

Assessment and quality assurance carry on throughout, but we cannot submit your certification claim to NOCN while a balance remains outstanding.

You can settle early at any time

If your circumstances change and you would like to move faster, clear the balance whenever you wish, without penalty or notice, and the remaining stages are released to you.

Three months from your final payment to finish

Because your materials arrive in stages, your completion time is measured from the end of your plan rather than from enrolment. A six-month plan gives you nine months in total; a twelve-month plan gives you fifteen. Learners who pay in full receive everything at once and have twelve months from enrolment. Extensions beyond these periods are considered individually and may carry an administration fee.

No refunds once materials have been issued

These are digital courses: your content is released to you as soon as your payment is made, and at that point it cannot be returned. You sign the Payment Plan Terms and your Learner Training Agreement before anything is taken, and both set this out in full.

Paying in full at enrolment remains available on every course, and removes all of the above.

Funding Through an Employer

Funeral directors, funeral groups, hospices and crematoria regularly fund training for their own people, and a nationally regulated qualification is usually easier for them to approve than an in-house certificate, because it can be verified independently.

We work with organisations directly: invoiced arrangements, several learners trained together, and staggered start dates where a team cannot all be released at once.

If you think your employer might support your training but you are not sure how to raise it, tell us. We are happy to speak to them on your behalf, or to send you something you can put in front of them.

ReAct+ Funding in Wales

If you live in Wales and are changing career, the Welsh Government's ReAct+ programme may contribute toward professional training. We have supported a learner through this route before, so we know how the process works from the provider's side.

Eligibility is decided by the scheme rather than by us, so contact us early and we will help you find out where you stand.

Routes We Cannot Offer

For completeness, and so you do not waste time looking:

  • Student Finance and Advanced Learner Loans are not available for our courses. These require a provider contract with the government funding agency, which we do not hold. Our payment plans exist precisely because that route is closed.
  • Government scheme eligibility advice: We are not able to advise on your eligibility for any government scheme. We can tell you what exists and point you at the right place, but the decision always sits with the scheme.

If a funding route you have heard of is not listed here, ask. Schemes change, and we would rather check than guess.

Not Sure Where You Stand?

Tell us your situation and we will tell you honestly what is open to you — including if the answer is a payment plan and nothing more. There is no obligation, and we do not chase.
