Course Commitment & Expectations
Time Commitment
- • Each course is designed to be completed within six months from your enrollment date.
- • Plan for approximately 8-12 hours per week of study, including online materials, practical tasks, video preparation, and written work.
- • Practical tasks (crematorium visits, funeral home visits for Funeral Celebrancy) should be completed within this timeframe.
Academic Integrity
- • All submitted work must be your own. Plagiarism or unauthorized collaboration is not permitted.
- • Video demonstrations must feature you conducting the ceremony or presenting the material.
- • Written structure documents should reflect your understanding and planning.
Engagement & Communication
- • Actively engage with course materials and assignments throughout your training.
- • Respond to assessor feedback promptly and make revisions as guided.
- • Contact our support team if you need clarification or assistance with any aspect of the course.
Assessment & Support
This is Not a Pass/Fail Course
Our approach is supportive and developmental. We work with you to ensure you develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a professional celebrant. Success is our shared goal.
How Assessment Works
- 1 Submission: You submit your video demonstrations and written documentation according to the schedule provided.
- 2 Assessment: Experienced assessors review your work against the professional standard required for your diploma.
- 3 Detailed Feedback: You receive comprehensive feedback outlining strengths and areas for development or revision.
- 4 Support & Revision: We work with you to understand the feedback and make any necessary improvements.
- 5 Completion to Standard: We continue supporting you until we are confident you have completed to the required professional standard.
Full Learning Support
- • Access to comprehensive online course materials and resources.
- • Guidance from experienced celebrant trainers throughout your learning journey.
- • Regular communication with assessors to clarify requirements and provide direction.
- • Support in understanding feedback and planning improvements.
- • Assistance to ensure you meet the professional standard by the end of your course.
Completion & Qualification
Achieving Your Diploma
Upon successful completion of your course, you will receive your accredited Level 3 Diploma from NOCN (Natech National Open College Network). This qualification demonstrates your professional competence and is recognized across the UK and internationally.
Your diploma qualifies you to practice as a professional celebrant in your chosen field (Funeral Celebrancy or Couples & Naming Ceremonies).
What Happens After Completion
- • You'll receive your official diploma certificate from NOCN.
- • Guidance on next steps, including starting your practice and joining professional networks.
- • Access to resources for building your celebrant business.
- • Information on continuing professional development opportunities.
Extensions & Withdrawals
Course Extensions
The standard course timeframe is six months. If you require additional time to complete your course:
- Contact our support team to discuss your situation.
- Extensions may be granted on a case-by-case basis.
- Additional fees may apply for extended periods.
- We will work with you to determine a realistic completion date.
No-Refund Policy
This is a digital course offering. Our no-refund policy is as follows:
- Training Contract Required: You must download and sign the training contract before payment. The contract outlines the no-refund policy and becomes legally binding upon payment.
- No refunds available: Once payment is received, no refunds are available under any circumstances.
- 14-day cooling-off period does not apply: As this is a digital service, the consumer cooling-off period does not apply.
- Training Extensions Available: Rather than refunds, we offer course time extensions to support your success and help you complete the training.

Video Submissions
- Videos you submit will be reviewed only by your assigned assessor(s).
- Your videos are treated confidentially and used solely for assessment purposes.
- Videos may be retained as part of your course record.
Feedback & Communication
- Assessor feedback will be provided confidentially.
- Communications regarding your progress will be sent securely to your registered email address.
- You have the right to request access to your course records and feedback.
